RSCDS AGM November 2023
Herts and Borders was well represented at the RSCDS AGM. Ken was awarded the Scroll of Honour, Trevor Clarke, our Secretary, presented detailed changes to the Consitution to resolve ambiguities and Liz Mitchell, member, and Chair of Lucy Clark SCDC, presented local initiatives at the panel discussion on recruitment and retention of dancers. And, of course, Lizzy Conder is RSCDS Treasurer.

MC course and Basic Teaching Skills
The MC and basic teaching skills course was held over two Saturdays in January and February and eight dancers learned about managing classes, MC'ing dance evenings and clear recapping of dances.
Thank you to the devisors and dancers for a spirited afternoon of eight dances proposed by members as entries for RSCDS Centenary Book 53. Dances were scored and ranked and, with a tie-break for one place, three dances have been chosen:
Reel, Miss Lucy Clark
Strathspey, Salute to Ian Robertson
Medley, The Berkhamsted Medley.
There will be lots of entries internationally, so fingers crossed!
